WHAT DOES A SANBAOWAY MINDFUL MOVEMENT TRAINING SESSION INCLUDE:

(ZAZEN) GUIDED MEDITATION

We begin and end our sessions with a simple sitting meditation that draws us back to our breath, the present moment and an awareness of our body/mind.

STRETCH AND EXTENSION

Vital to increasing energy is the stretch and extension of the muscles, tendons and joints of the body.  Traditional Qi (energy) and Shaolin warm-up stretches enhance our flexibility, lightness, posture and poise.

DYNAMIC CONDITIONING

Simple, dynamic martial art techniques and practices provide an exhilarating cardio workout that conditions the body and empowers the mind – increasing flexibility, agility, stamina and confidence.

QIGONG PRACTICE (BADUANJIN)

With our energy channels now open, we move into Qigong practice, focusing on the classic BaDuanJin (Eight Brocades) to harness our internal energy (Qi) – for self-healing, balance and to reduce stress.
